Ruffled Grouse Feather Earrings with Jade

In 2015 my family and I went hunting in Northern Russia and were able to harvest some gorgeous ducks, grouse, and pheasants. Up there, hunting is a way of life and the source of food for locals, so to prevent wastefulness I saved the feathers for jewelry making.

That summer I traveled to the Grateful Dead reunion shows in Chicago and debuted my first feather earring collection on lot. That’s where AnastasiyasEmporium was born.

These female grouse feathers are paired with a green jade and silver crystal bead. The hooks are hypoallergenic surgical steel and all materials are fair trade and cruelty free.
