Red Feather Necklace

Although my sister and I love making bold pieces of jewelry, our approach is very different. Having a very artistic eye, she is able to look at a bunch of beads and put them together into an amazing necklace, bracelet or pair of earrings.

In this instance, she took some chunky Tibetan silver nuggets, silver feather-shaped and round spacer beads, and eye-catching red turquoise disks and teardrops, and made a big, bold necklace.

Entitled “Red Feather,” this necklace is reminiscent of something a proud Indian chief might have proudly worn. It’s definitely an attention getting, conversation starting, accessory. It’s casual enough to wear with jeans and a tee, but smart enough to grace a sundress or shirt and skirt you’d wear to work.
