Red Agate, Carnelian & Copper Necklace

A red agate focal was the impetus behind this piece. It is an unusual shape and had beautiful swirls of black to brown through out it. I adore working with copper and the color of the agate seems to call for copper.

I paired it with carnelian round beads, copper beads & bead caps, and attached the focal with a free form copper wrap. The necklace is strung onto copper wire and the wire has two opposing swirls that where shaped and hammered for a custom clasp.
