Paper Flowers & Mother of Pearl Jewellery

Last summer I purchased several packages of paper flowers on sale at the end of the summer season. I’ve wanted to use them since I bought them, but you know how you save special supplies you buy, right? 🙂

Well last week I broke into them to use some of them for a gift home decor project, and I’ve been into playing with them ever since.

These are the jewellery pieces I’ve made with them. The pendants are both mother-of-pearl based. I love this shade of green, and I found that the paper flowers looked really pretty with it.

For the all green set I used three shades of green roses and tiny freshwater pearls, with a cotton cord.

For the other necklace, I paired three strands of green seed beads with deep pink and soft yellow flowers. These shades of pink and green are one of my favourite colour combinations.

I think there’s still enough summer left for this jewellery to make an appearance. 🙂
