Non-Pierced Ears: What Substitutes for Clip Earrings?

A friend wants me to make her a pair of copper wire earrings without the clips.

I am thinking about ear cuffs, but have never made any and need some help please.

She wants swirls and twirls like the ones I use with my wire wrapping.

What do you suggest?
