Mixing Media in the Crafting World

I am always excited to receive Rena Klingenberg’s newsletter. Today I was super excited to see the article on Kumihimo Crossing Borders. Last week I completed a kumihimo necklace with a seashell attached.

I live in Carriacou, Grenada and a friend from San Diego asked me if I could donate a few door prizes for a Tea Party Benefit she is hosting in May. My thoughts were it had to be more than my usual macrame pieces.

She needed something more Caribbean from the islands. Of course I thought of sea shells which led to these creations.

I also put together few pieces of macrame with Lionfish accents.

I like mixing different mediums to create unusual pieces. Hope you enjoy my “Greetings from the Wild Side”.
