LJuneau: Masquerade Necklace 1

One of my favorite aspects of jewelry design is the art of repurposing, reusing, upcycling, and reimagining old jewelry and other components that can be fashioned into wearable pieces.

It really gets my creative mind surging to start off with either one or a collection of vintage components. In this case the brooch was the starting off point and then various other parts such as chains, link, beads and pearls combined the old with the new.

The colors of the brooch directed the addition of the new beads. I am always on the lookout for interesting old jewelry and am fortunate to have friends and family do the same so my supply is restocked often.
