Looking for an Open Source Listing of Semi-Precious Stones

I’m just creating my website and need an alphabetical list of semi-precious stones and a brief description of each.

Is there anywhere I can get such a list on-line that allows you to use the information in your own site?

If I have to do this from scratch, I wouldn’t even know where to begin.

As it is I’m lost even looking for this resource.
