Love the feathers and colors. I was wondering if these are found naturally by you.
Cool idea

These are so unique and cool. Love the mixture of colors and the leather wrapping is a perfect topper to the design.
Feather Earring

Very unique and interesting! I love the variety of feathers, and the uber-long length. Also the “Lady Amhearst” name is appealing.
Is this part of a pair of earrings, or is it meant to be worn solo?
Thanks for the feedback ladies! =)

ok firstly, I wish I could find pheasant feathers laying around on the ground, but these lovelies are native to asia! I buy all my feathers online and from people in australia that reply to my ads. Most of them are either from peoples pets (Macaws cockatoos and parrots etc) some my partner picks up from the ground when he is out and about at work (lucky me!!) and the others are sold as “cruelty free” and “naturally shed”, although as with anything on the internet, you can never be 100% sure. All the feathers are sanitised, washed and dried by me before use.
This earring as with most I make is intended to be a “feature” or statement earring. It is so beautiful in long dark hair… you wouldn’t want to wear 2…it would be too much and over the top. I also make little quartz point earrings with chains and silver feather charms etc which you can mix and match with the feather earrings…they are a nice compliment for the other side!
All the feathers are natural and un-dyed…nature provides enough beautiful colour and i think the dyed feathers look very “craft-store” cheap. I also use 100% surgical steel earrings and can custom design you anything you can dream up =) you can check out my facebook page for some different examples of the things i make!

Wow, that was very interesting, Kimberley! Thanks so much for sharing your creative approach. And I agree, one of these fabulous earrings would make much more of a statement than a pair would.
