Ideas..

by Patricia Gossett.

here is the first washer and charm necklace I made..

How do you go about putting your ideas into actual jewelry pieces? My head is flooding with ideas and a lot of the times I can’t figure out how to make the actual piece.

I know I am very anxious, and I need to slow up and take my time, but after I made my first bracelet, my mind is constantly going on what I can do next. I try to use things already around the house, but it’s hard for me to take an idea that I want to do so bad, and actually turn it into a piece of artwork.

Here is another with matching earrings...

I really love jewelry making and it keeps me busy.. here’s an example, my husband and I was out in the shop one day, I saw a large washer and that got my mind going.

I asked him to drill the holes for me, and he did, then he painted it for me, at the time I had a broke foot and he didn’t want me to get up off the stool.

After it dried I took and added some seashell charms and a chain, found two smaller size that looked perfect for earrings, then I drilled the holes and painted it and make a set of earings to match the necklace…could not help myself, I went through both bottom and top shop and the toolbox in the front room, and took every washer I could find…he got a kick out of it, even though he has no more washers left.
