Gold Filled Wire vs Non-Tarnish Wire

I am learning how to do some basic jewelry and I purchased non-tarnish wire to do wire wrapping necklaces.

Is it better to buy gold filled wire over the non-tarnish?

Which one would make the piece to look its best for longer time?

I have noticed some of my pieces are not as shiny as they were when I first created them.

Please help.
