Enchanting Jasper

I bought these jasper stones not realizing they were real. I bought only one strand, just to see them and see if I could do something with them.

I began by mixing two different pearl-like colors with the Jasper. I can not tell you how many times these few beads were taken off and started the stringing over.

My 6 year old son, (amazing with colors, I will have to share some of his work sometime), said, "mom, you need chain.. it needs some chain." So, apart it came again and I stared at it for about 20 mins.

I have had these for about 2 months. I kept taking them out and putting them back. I would get something out and just sit and stare at it for like a half hour, and then put it back away.

And it hit me. I have some broken chain pieces (short lengths), that my mother gave me. Between 2 and 5 inches a piece.

I just was not feeling inspired. I felt it needed something…Just could not put my finger on what it needed. The stones are pretty enough in themselves but I like jewelry that shines.

So with a map finally in my head, I started. And after staring at these beads with no clue what I was going to do with them... After about 5 hours and a little brainstorming from the kidd-o, this is what happened. Enchanting Jasper.

This is what I came up with.
