Elk Petroglyph Medallion

I had the Elk pendant for years, since 1994. I collected beads and came across this ceramic pendant it had a pinched hole on the back to add a leather strap for a necklace.

I kept in in a box and forgot about it over the years. Last year I decided to take it out and glue it to a piece of stiff interfacing, then I beaded around it like it was a cabochon.

Having and odd shape oval it was a challenge to bead. I beaded a rope and added it to the back finishing it off with deer skin.

This is old and new Native American medallion, I am tribal member of the Cherokee Nation and I sold this medallion couple of months ago.
