Dew Fairies’ Dreams

Love the ginkgo leaf – made some pendants from a stencil I had, but overlapped them, elongated the stems and turned them into a focal piece for this piece to which I added dew in the form of little pearls and gossamer in the form of fine wire – a Dew fairy Dreams

Good use of the stencils to make the leafs which add a little something to the necklace.

Please give us more info on how you created these beautiful leaves. What is the material? Love them.

The leaves were created with polymer clay, using a stencil and then shaping the leaves to the way they are meant to look – they have long curving stems for instance – and I overlapped one piece over the other, rather than have a stand alone leaf – cured, drew veins, painted, cured, varnished, cured – and bingo! – hope that was useful. I have had a few enquiries about the leaves and actually made some to order and sold them on to people – they do seem to be popular as they are each a stand alone pendant in their own right, that I wired together for my necklace

Such a lovely piece! I love the leaves and the organic way they’re scattered among the pearls. Wonderful wire work, too.
Thank you so much for sharing this stunning necklace here!
