Color Me Bold and Blue

by Dynelle Douglas.
(Washington, DC USA)

This piece was made out of polymer clay, various glass/acrylic beads, 24g sp wire, and 20g sp wire.

I was sitting around trying to figure out what to make with the stacks of polymer clay in front of me…I remembered I wanted to try to make outrageously big beads.

I used aluminum foil for the armatures of the huge beads.

Once I made all the polymer clay beads, I still didn’t know what to do with the gigantic beads. So they sat in my bead stash for some weeks.

After the time passed I finally had a general idea of what I wanted to achieve.

I ran with the idea and was left with this fabulous necklace!

The toggle clasp is also handmade.

I had a blast making this piece.
