Bold Brass

I received this large brass medallion as part of a destash prize. Loved it, but didn’t know what in the world to do with it.

Dug around in all my bead drawers and found these chunky raw garnets that would give the necklace some ‘earthiness’, like an ancient coin removed from an archaeological dig. Completed the design with some of my favorite carved stone beads, turquoise, and olive picasso Czech glass.

This piece is certainly not in the biggest, boldest category, but it’s quite a large piece for me.
