Bejewelled Silk

This is a sentimental piece for me as the hand died silk ribbon came from my Mother’s collection of ribbons used for making flowers, before she left this world.

When she left us I got to keep this stash…. The piece was built around the colours in the ribbon. Hand embroidered on leather with bead woven flowers giving a 3 dimensional effect.

The gemstone beads are Blue Lace Agate.
