Beetle Mania

This is another faux enamel piece that I painted with a mixture of Ice resin and pigment powder.
I was trying to emulate the fantastic Egyptian style jewelry of the Art Nouveau period by painting the beetle in colors of lapis, turquoise and gold.
After the brass beetle stamping was painted, I cut apart some filigree and secured the pieces to the bracelet cuff with the beetle on top.
This bracelet was a lot of work (and painting it was hard on my eyes!) but I’m pleased with how it turned out and I plan to do more resin painting!
