Beads and Buttons Rings by David - featured on Jewelry Making Journal

This past week my dog and I were hanging out at a country yard sale.

It’s not a great market for homemade jewelry, but a woman came up and started trying on rings.

Only one fit (size nine) and wasn’t her style. She mentioned have big knuckles from her softball playing days.

I told her that I would make her a ring that would fit properly, and it would be ready in ten minutes.

She selected a pink bead and I began designing.

The fit was perfect and was grateful for the $5 price (normally $10-20.) Making money is great, but this was better.

  1. An interesting variety of wire rings, David! I especially like the 3-bead designs. Also, a great example of creating custom jewelry for a person with fit issues – you have probably made a customer for life there!

This is something I’d be interested in learning. Something challenging! 🙂

I love your giving attitude! Sometimes it is more important and more fulfilling to not always be all about the money. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Fun rings! and a great attitude to go with.
