Bead Swap Creation

For a few years now I have been watching Lori Anderson’s Bead Soup Blog Party and admiring everyone’s designs.
This is a bead swap where you are partnered with someone else and you are required to send and use a minimum of a focal and a clasp. Of course you can send more than that and you can also use more than what is sent to you.
This necklace was my creation with the square agate focal I received. The other great thing about this swap (other than the wonderful people you meet) is that you may be working with colors and materials that you normally would not have used.
That was definitely the case with this piece. I like the way it came out, I think I will be using more silk and wire in my jewelry from now on too.
