Handmade sari silk tassel Pendant is 5 1/2″, with African Turquoise and Freshwater Pearl. The overall necklace length is 34″.

This hand knotted, 108 gemstone mala necklace is truly a statement piece.

The number 108 is significant for a number of reasons and it is open to interpretation. Mala beads were traditionally created to be used as a tool in meditation.

However — I believe mala beads are also beautiful mediums to set intentions, manifest, and generally feel good.

Composed of six semi precious 6.5mm and 8mm gemstones plus crystal rondelles.

My malas are handknotted between each gemstone, allowing one to chant their mantra — a sound or string of words — and keep track of where they are.

Each necklace has one of my handmade sari silk tassels as a pendant.

  2. I love this mixed media necklace too, Holly. The turquoise and brown combination is one of my favourites, and I love the silk tassel. The knotting between each bead makes it more special too.
