Welcome!
Jewelry Making Journal is a combination of online magazine and community journal.
It’s the place where friendly jewelry artists from all over the world are sharing jewelry experiences, creations, ideas and knowledge.
Jewelry Making Journal
has four main sections:
Jewelry Making – here’s where we’re posting our project tutorials, jewelry making tips, and information about jewelry supplies and tools.
Jewelry Business – in this section we’re sharing ideas and strategies for selling handmade jewelry and running a successful business.
Jewelry Displays – here we’re posting really cool ideas for making your own jewelry displays and packaging, often from things you already have around the house.
Jewelry Gallery – in our beautiful gallery we show and tell about our jewelry creations and the things we’re currently experimenting with.
Plus more cool stuff:
Jewelry Making Journal also has some other special features – like my series of exclusive Jewelry Business Insider interviews with experts, and the Jewelry Stories being shared by our community here.
It’s also an active community
To participate in Jewelry Making Journal, you can submit posts and ask questions, add your thoughts to discussions, and network with your fellow jewelry artists.
There are a lot of us here obsessing about making and selling handmade jewelry!
Where we came from
You may be familiar with this jewelry community already, from where it existed from 2003 to 2011 – on my previous websites (Home Jewelry Business Success Tips, Jewelry Display Ideas, and Making Jewelry Now).
Currently I’m in the process of having all of the posts from those three websites moved over to here on Jewelry Making Journal.
It’s so much simpler for us to have everything all together here on one site, and on this much more advanced platform.

Wherever you live, however long you’ve been making jewelry, we’re so glad to have you here!
We’re all about connection, discovery, and our shared appreciation of jewelry art.
Most of us work alone on our jewelry and our business.
So this community of friendly jewelry artists is a comfortable place for us to gather – where we can stay inspired and learn new things from each other.
