Vintage Nautical Inspirations

Anchor Bracelet : I found these awesome vintage anchor buttons at a show we were doing in southwest Florida. I wanted a fresh summery nautical bracelet to put for sale on my site. The faceted ball chain I used gives a bit of sparkle and I love the naturally dyed navy leather.

Starfish Necklace : I started with an antique brass starfish charm and hand painted it with gilder’s paste. I buffed it a bit to liven up the texture and give it a rustic shabby chic charm. I like the contrast of the verdigris look with the sterling chain.

Blue Mermaid Locket : I used the same process (gilder’s paste) with the brass mermaid. The pattern in the locket reminds me of waves, so it seemed the perfect fit.
