Octopus on Boulder Opal with pearls and goldbeads

This baby bronze octopus – so detailed, and signed by the maker on the underside – I perched on a diamond-shaped Queensland boulder opal, drilled front to back; making it possible to create a goldfilled spiral bail to anchor my octopus on top.

I added tiny goldfilled chunks and golden Biwa freshwater pearls, toggled with a bronze ruffle at the neck.

This necklace is MINE! Although I have sold another octopus off my neck this year – customer made me ‘an offer I couldn’t refuse’!
