I love making earrings!

I found memory wire makes a great hoop that are light weight, and easy to make.

Here are several ideas and different looks using memory wire.

Using seed beads in different colors, I added different elements to each earring to create a different look.

Also my ear wires are hypo allergenic, stainless steel from Fire Mountain.

The rubber nuts that I use for the back of the ear wire are also hypo allergenic.

  1. Lovely combinations of colors for earrings, Kathy! My favorite is the pair with blue seed beads with pearls and pewter. I agree, Memory Wire is such a natural for making hoop earrings – it easily makes perfect circles, and then there’s the fun of endless options for decorating them!

  2. Thanks Rena. I agree. I try to keep things simple and these hoops are always one of my best sellers at shows.

I too love memory wire (I use stainless) for perfect hoops, also I’ve used it for teardrop as well as an upside down semi-rounded V – made a loop on one end to hang a crystal or stone, use the other end as your earwire, just make sure to file the end nicely so no sharp points. 🙂
