Lace Hat Jewellery Display or “Where the Pink Things Live”

The Straw Hat Necklace Display post made me think of this variation.

I have always loved the stiffened lace hats, and years ago loved to decorate them with flowers (I probably still would enjoy doing that).

I still have a couple around, and was thinking that they would be beautiful for displaying jewellery as well, either personal or business jewellery.

Today I was putting a pair of pink earrings away, and noticed that my earring case is starting to get too full. So I decided to pull out all my pink earrings, as well as my other pink jewellery, and try displaying and storing them on a hat.

I think it looks pretty. It just doesn’t work for heavier or bulkier pieces as well. It’s hung on the wall behind my bedroom door, and I’ll be able to enjoy seeing my jewellery there.

Yes, the walls are a pinky-mauve, and yes, there is a pink purse hanging there too, the top of the strap just visible in the picture. What can I say …
