Gatsby Inspired: Mobius Rosette & Pearl Jewelry Set

This year’s remake of “The Great Gatsby” inspired me to make several pieces reminiscent of the Jazz Age. Using the easy chain maille technique of weaving links into Mobius rosettes, I attached these rosettes to each other with another trio of links, for a substantial look.

To make the drops, I handwrapped eleven freshwater pearls and attached them to the bracelet. Then came the hard part: finding the right clasp.

An Etsy shop specializing in vintage jewelry components had just what I was looking for. I made the earrings using the same simple chain maille weave and Bali-style earwires.
