I have a client who loves to push me to the outer limits of my jewelry imagination!

Flirty Fish Face Statement Necklace “I’m ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille.”

She kept urging me to do a necklace of eyes using my favorite upcycled/recycled material-fish leather. After many sleep-eluding ruminations(best times to aha! creating); I decided to “face” the facts.

I just couldn’t come up with an “eyes only” design I liked…so…Flirty Fish Face was born!

Here I am!

She is freeformed of two shades of salmon leather, onto which I wired and appliqued eyes of coin pearls and oxidized silver wire and patinaed lips of bronze. The eyes and lips were entirely formed and colored by me.

“Shell” I show you my good side?”

I strung my charmingly wacky face on doubled strands of deerskin leather; adjustable at the neck with a silver ring. Doesn’t she look eager to get to know you?
