Flamingos In the Sun

I hand paint coins and turn them into jewelry. This pendant is made from a coin from the Bahamas and has flamingos with a big sunset.

I have to admit I really pondered for a while if I was going to make the flamingos pink, but finally decided to leave them clear so the silver of the coin ended up being the “color.”

Nature was wilder with pink, but I was drawn to the dramatic colors of deep blue, a bold yellow sun, and elegant silver.

The Bahamas are certainly a part of the world with wonderful summers, and are known for their beautiful waters, beaches, and summer fun. Thanks for letting me enter this fun jewelry challenge!
