Crushed gemstone vertical bar necklace

These beautiful crushed gemstone necklaces were inspired by my crushed sea glass collection.

I found these crushed gemstones at our local gem and jewelry show and thought they would be really pretty as a necklace.

Each one has been handmade using a pendant tray and sealed giving the gemstones a luminous glow.

The gemstones I have used are turquoise, amethyst, clear quartz, blue topaz, peridot and moonstone.

Each one is suspended on a silver cable chain. These are perfect for layering!

  1. Great use of gems that are too small for other uses. I love the texture of these pendants, and the long dramatic shape. Beautiful colors, Kelly – I can see people collecting these in all their favorite colors!

  2. Thank you Rena! I’ve started making these as a layered necklace as well 🙂

  3. Oh what a brilliant idea! Did you use an ice resin-type product to fix them into the bezel? It’s such a great use for gemstone & other types of chips. Thanks for sharing! Your work is beautiful.

  4. Really cool and pretty!
