Chunky Tibetan

A friend of mine donated this string of sea bamboo beads to me some time ago for inspiration and “creative reshuffling”.

Since my jewelry designs tend towards the subtle and understated, I was unsure about these rather large and bold beads. It was a creative challenge that sent me downtown to my favorite bead store, where this gorgeous Tibetan sea bamboo pendant was waiting.

The rest of the necklace seemed to fall in place around it with little effort. Though it is so different from my usual style of jewelry, this necklace is one of my favorite pieces and seems to get quite a bit of attention.
