Blue Lagoon

by Jenny Holt.
(Snow bound in Ogden, Utah USA)

I belong to a group of wire jewelry artist and each month we swap gifts. I knew that I needed to make one extra special for my swap partner.

sterling wire wrapped blue stones bracelet

As I was wrapping the 1st wire band a group of 6 wires for the bracelet it kept curving and bending. This gave me the idea to make the curves (or waves) for the bracelet. After the 2nd group was wrapped I liked the look of them crossing over each other and forming the oval spaces.

Once they were joined and all the wires tucked away I knew that it need some BLING. Found the perfect blue dragons vein agate, some crystals, and Aquamarine ovals that went with it and attached them with a little wire. I formed the hook and clasp and there it was Blue Lagoon.

I sent it off to my swap partner wishing I could keep it for myself. (SHE LOVED IT)
