I became addicted to beaded Kumihimo a few years ago and have never looked back.
I try to find new ways and patterns to create unique items for both myself and for sale on my Etsy shop.
The chunky necklace was taught to me in a class in a nearby town and the variety of beads used just intrigued me. The first one I made I sold, but then made a similar one for myself.
Although I get blank stares when I mention that it’s Kumihimo (and I then have to explain what that is), I usually take the necklace off to let them see for themselves what it’s all about.
For me, Kumihimo is very relaxing…after I get the beads all strung that is.
