I was inspired with this piece from attending the Zora Neal Hurston Festival in February 2014.

So I decided to do a Beaded Embroidery of multicolored beadings, a shell I picked up in the beach last summer; and place it on Gray felt back drop.

  1. This is a fascinating design, Rose, and neat to see the steps of how it was created. I love how you used the seed beads to “draw” the picture, and the shell for her headdress. It also has an interesting air of mystery – because although we can see the lady’s silhouette, we have to imagine her face. Thank you for sharing this!

  2. Colleen says:

Rose, can you send in a pick with someone wearing your head dress? I bet it looks beautiful on.

  3. This is truly unique and a very lovely piece!

  4. @Collen, this headress, is an original from creating.
