A Slice of Earth

My son gave me several slices of stone while he lived in TN. They are all beautiful but none had any holes drilled for hanging.

A Slice from Mother Nature

No way was I going to make this my first attempt at drilling so I was forced into to using my brains for a creative solution. This stone had two indented notches at the top that were perfect for wire wrapping.

A little wire wrapping, silver chain and Aventurine faceted squares and here she is.

My biggest regret, not trusting myself enough to have used sterling wire for wrapping the slice and making the components for the Aventurine stones. My son loved it.
