Stuff We Can’t Do At JMJ
Hello Empowered Jewelry Artist!
Alicia here. 🙂 Content & Social Media Specialist at JMJ.
If you do nothing else please read this before sending your work, questions or suggestions to us. Reading this first may save you some valuable time.
So here we go……
Before you send in your gallery submissions, jewelry stories, tips and techniques; or leave comments for another artist please be aware of the following:
- I cannot accept text copied from the pages of your website, blog or online store. If you’ve already posted it there I can’t re-post it here. Certainly you can share those great ideas, but they need to be shaken up and reworded first. Put a JMJ spin on it then send it to us. 🙂
- Â Lists of supplies and components cannot be accepted as content. Your gallery photos must be accompanied by original text — in conversational 1st person — that discuss your process and/or your inspiration, as well as the materials used.
- Don’t worry about your spelling or grammar if English isn’t your native language ~ or even if it is. 🙂 I can handle that.
- Blatant selling will be deleted.
- Creative photo editing is fine but item numbers, inventory codes or prices cannot be published on your photos.
Questions that can’t be answered at JMJ because they go beyond the scope of our expertise:
- Â JMJ can’t give any legal, accounting, financial, tax or medical advice.
- Â Requests for reviews of specific Websites, Online Stores, Blogs or Facebook Pages cannot be posted. This type of consulting is beyond the scope of JMJ’s pages, however general questions that would benefit the community are fine.
Link Exchanges / Sponsorship and Guest Articles
- Jewelry Making Journal is not actively seeking link exchanges or guest article submissions from third parties seeking cross promotion.
However, anyone interested in a future opportunity to connect with JMJ can simply contact me with a brief description of your company or business; what you can offer to the JMJ community and contact info. I will add you to our mailing list for opportunities that may come up in the future.
Finally…
- Please send your best photos and proofread your post carefully. Unfortunately, I cannot go back and edit posts once they’ve gone live on the site unless there was an error made while formatting.
With regard to questions sent to Rena specifically:
- Â Rena does read and appreciate every message that comes in for her. Unfortunately, it is not possible for her to answer every email that comes in personally.
- Â Rena is not currently offering private consulting so she is unable to do any website; business; price structure reviews, or mentoring of any kind on a one-on-one basis. We hope that you can find the information you need within the free content at JMJ.
Now if you’re ready you can go here to submit your piece, question or comment.
