Yin Yang Copper Bracelet

by zoraida.

(patchogue, ny)

While playing with copper wire, I somehow made this spiral that become, what looked like, a Yin Yang symbol. I thought it’d make a cool center for a bracelet.

Originally, the sides were coiled wire. I was never happy with it, so I took it apart. It seemed stiff and uninteresting. I also wanted it to be comfortable and maybe appeal to men as well as women. I like substantial bracelets.

Finally, I simply made thick, 14gauge, jump rings in two different sizes. I liked the circles all over the place without too much flourish and was happy with the result.
