What I love about this piece is the asymmetry in the shapes, but symmetry in the colors you put together. This is the secret in getting asymmetric to work, I think. Great work Dianne. Thanks for sharing.

I also find the fashion game, Covet, to be a good inspiration. They have all the trending styles, shapes and colors in their game.

I showed this necklace to a friend and she fell in love with it so this piece has a loving home.

It’s great to get feed-back from other designers. Caron—I switched from gold wire to copper and it did make a big difference in the look.
I think once I get more practice with asymmetry I may find it hard to go back to symmetrical designs but they have their place as well, as I have a feeling not all customers will be comfortable with the other look.
I have made an asymmetrical necklace for a friend that is very conservative in her tastes. I am giving it to her tomorrow and I am going to be interested to see her reaction. 🙂

I have a hard time with asymmetrical designs. I think it’s because both sides don’t look the same. 🙂 Copper was just the right touch with the other colors in the piece. Bravo!

Now I love the freedom of creating a piece this way. Your colors and design are very pleasing to the eye. Keep up the good work!

Making things asymmetrical is an interesting design challenge. Your necklace above is very attractive – I especially love the colors you’ve put together!
