Wow! Wow! These are masterpieces! They are beautifully done. They look sturdy but that doesn’t ruin the magical look it has.

I do use other, larger gauges (14,16,18 Gauge) if I make a frame for the piece which I then wrap with the 20 gauge base/28 gauge weave. Remember to always allow at least a minimum of 8-10 gauges between the base and weaving wire which makes it easier to control. This is not a hard fast rule but just a starting point. I only started doing this type of jewelry about 7 months ago myself, so don’t give up. Think about the flow of the stone you are wrapping and don’t get hung up on the technical side. Remember, you are making wearable, sculpted art with every piece being unique and different. If you do a search on Pinterest for free wire wrapping tutorials you will find many good ones from beginner to advanced that will help you get started. You may also want to take a look on Amazon.com which has many good books on the subject. I used both these avenues along with Youtube to help me along this journey. I hope this helps answer some of your questions and Happy Wrapping!

I’ve wanted to try it for some time but have no idea where to start. I’ve only been making jewellery for about 8 months and am kind of losing confidence (and interest) in it. i want to try something new. I’ve been reading Rena’s page for a few weeks, and watching unlimited vids on u-tube, but nothing really strikes out.

I appreciate your very nice compliments and also your good advice on pricing. I’ve been wire-wrapping since October of last year. I started a Facebook page first and then a website. I started my pricing out low because I was a beginner, and I’ve gradually been trying to increase my prices as I get better…what I’ve noticed is that the special orders I can charge a pretty decent amount for, but the general public, although they admire the pieces, they generally don’t want to pay the higher prices. Price conditioning perhaps? I’ve worked on the photography aspect to improve it. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated…thanks again!

Stunning. But personally I think you are underpriced, way underpriced on some items. Just my opinion .

I especially resonated with the line, “creations from my heart to my hand”.
