Shamrock keychain and necklace pendant

Back in January I started playing around with my wire to make some shamrocks.

After maybe half an hour of wasted materials, I finally found a way to shape them that was easy for me and they turned out pretty sweet!

(I always start with cheap aluminum wire before moving into copper or silver).

I decided to use my prototypes in a giveaway on my FB page, and listed the others in my shop.

A few got sold, the others are waiting for new homes, and all in all it was a pretty fun project to work on!

For the largest ones, I used 16g copper wire and my pliers to shape it, then hammered with a textured surface hammer, applied patina, polished and then sealed it.

Some I left with no stones to fill the centers, some I filled with various green chips.

One of my customers requested a necklace, another wanted a pin, and a few asked for keychain finishes.

And a few have gone into my Tree of Life Suncatchers.

All in all, it was a lot of fun to make.
