Thank you! Yes, I did glue the lace on. I find it adheres very well. 🙂

Like you I don’t want to collect any more beach glass till I know what to do with them – they’re so pretty it’s hard to resist.
Did you glue the lace on?

Thank you! 🙂 Some people drill holes in beach glass, but I don’t have the equipment (or probably the skill, lol) for that. A lot of people wire wrap the pieces in order to be able to attach them to something, that’s probably the most common. I’m not real fond of doing a lot of wire wrapping, so that’s why I came up using the lace (which has been stiffened in that little area), with it’s natural openings, as a way to have something to connect a jump ring to. the bit of wrapping I did was an afterthought, just to bring a bit of extra pink down into the design.

I am not familiar with beach glass. Do you drill a hole in the piece or do you just wire wrap them?

I love the idea of ice (glass) and snow (lace), Rena! And yes, I certainly do appreciate what is gifted to me to find on the beach or on my walks. 🙂

The pull of finding beach glass would be too strong for me to resist also. I love your work and description of the process. Thanks for sharing.

I think it’s a good idea to gather those “winter treasures” when you find them, especially since they’re all one-of-a-kind. It sounds like the lake wants to gift you with these items because you appreciate them.

You’re doing such lovely things with your beach finds – the lace and daisy elements are wonderful with the pale glass. I can totally see the “ice” (beach glass) and “snow” (lace) effect here. I think this type of jewelry could be stunning over a black top or blouse.

I’m forced to admit that I’ve fallen off the wagon of my resolution already, lol! I wandered down to the beach to look at the water yesterday, expecting the snow banks at the shore to still be there, at least somewhat. We have had a few days above zero, but there was a lot of snow. I was amazed to see the banks all melted at the shoreline (this is extremely unusual for the end of Jan./beginning of Feb. here! I started to go down the slippery slope of falling back into my addiction when I started walking down to the shore, and there was no turning back! 😀 Especially when I realized that the melting snow had left behind a treasure trove of a dozen piece of usable lake glass, including a pale blue piece and a royal blue piece. Guess I just need to get busier! 🙂
