It makes a beautiful bead (large bead) and they can be twisted together to make a lovely chain necklace or bracelet. I got the wire mesh at Artistic wire.

The pearls are surprisingly easy to drill through, use water while drilling, drill halfway then flip and do the other half so the nacre doesn’t splatter when the drill bit end breaks through the outer shell.

Do you know of another address? Thanks because I’m facing the same problem with pearls.

My initial plan was to fuse three “c” shaped argentium wires together and make a cage but I ran out of time and ordered a sterling cage from Rio. Very simple, very elegant and they’re both thrilled. I’m glad now that I “cheated” and got the premade cage because it has a hinge and the pearl can be removed so that the silver can be cleaned occasionally. Quahog pearls are rare and valuable and I found that out afterwards, so I’m glad I kept my workshop door closed to my thief of a poodle pup!

Then you could hang them off chain to make a necklace, bracelet, or earrings. Also, how about creating a wire knitted tube and filling it with the pearls?

Easy to do and easy to find free tutorials online to show you how. Either make something all in pearls or mix with gemstones, crystals, etc.

Imagine a pendant with a cross or oval shape, wholly embedded and incrusted by beads, crystals, microbeads…isn’t it intriguing?

The cover picture of this book presents a pretty pearl pedant design, hope it would help you.

(just snip out the post in the middle of the cup)
2) capture them in chainmaille –

3) prong set them.
