I don’t normally come up with holiday designs since when they don’t sell that season they are sort of stuck in the shop.
However this year I decided to come up with more abstract special jewelry for Valentine’s Day that would be appropriate for year round wear.
These heart earrings (above) were created by stamping a free-form heart pattern on hand cut copper pieces. Then oxidized and lightly polished for an understate effect. The gunmetal chain hides the pattern a little for added subtlety.
The red coral ones are oxidized copper pieces for an edgy accent behind the sterling silver chain.

With the elegance pearl necklace a piece of copper was flame oxidized giving it an iridescence. The cut and texture of the metal adds a cool contrast to the classiness of the pearl and sterling chain.

These pieces are really fab, Val! I love that they’re very different from most Valentine jewelry. Beautiful pieces, and I especially like the Red Coral Dearest One Earrings. Thank you for the inspiration to do something a little different for holiday jewelry!
Thank you so much Rena! These were fun to create!
