A photo of the Amethyst pendant. What’s not to love? 😉

My dear friend gave me an amethyst mandala style pendant set in sterling silver that she just wasn’t very fond of.

(I do tend to get items like this from friends and family).

This is the pearl and gemstone chain I originally made for the pendant.

My first instinct was to make it beautiful on a pearl and gemstone chain and give it back as a gift.

First I created this beautiful bail using tanzanite and silver beads in a peyote stitch.

She seemed delighted with the new necklace but a year or two later that pendant turned up again – she had cut it off the necklace. So funny!

Then the rope in a crystal AB glass with colorful accents came about and finally the cutie pie earrings. Needless to say my friend wanted the new set, but I declined. Funny again!

Well, I rescued the pendant again and knew someday I would restore it to glory.
