I leave my “trunk”, a notebook so people can write what they took and an envelope for money. It is a really low key way to sell to trusted people but I don’t think I’d ever do one where I didn’t know anyone

Lunchtime sales can be really successful, and you’re right about the importance of security if you’re not there yourself.

You’ll need a good system for keeping your jewelry secure – as well as the cash / checks that are collected when your jewelry sells.

You may find some ideas in this JMJ post:
Selling Jewelry at Work – scroll through that post to the section called “Let Friends or Family Show Your Jewelry at Their Workplaces”. You can see how I worked a deal like that with my friend Angie taking my jewelry to her workplace. There are also other ideas in that post that you may find helpful.

Another JMJ post, Jewelry Party in a Basket, has an idea for putting a party “hostess” in charge of the jewelry you leave somewhere.

I hope these ideas help, and I’m looking forward to see what everyone else suggests! 🙂
