Unmanned (Unwomanned) Trunk Show: How would you do it?

I have a friend who works in a local Dr’s office and she approached me about bringing my jewelry in to sell.

I left my things there, with an envelope for money, for a few days and sold close to $200. Woohoo! Anyway, I love the idea of jewelry lunches from another post, but I work over lunch time.

I felt comfortable leaving my things at the first Dr’s office because I knew someone. I’d like to do more things like that, but am nervous leaving things with strangers. (I was planning to advertise this option at a craft fair in our town)

Has anyone else done this? Is there too much risk of theft? It feels like a great market, but I am hesitant.
