Time Stands Still

I love repurposing jewelry so that it can be enjoyed once again and have always been inspired by watches!

Time Stands Still

Here I have taken a broken time piece, glued it on a flat black pendant, surrounded it with watch gears and made it the star in a unique statement necklace.

The necklace is fashioned from 22 gauge silver craft wire using a variety of interesting vintage and contemporary beads and baubles in a free flowing asymmetrical style.

  • Sonja, what a fabulous design for using a repurposed watch! It feels like a very elegant piece of Steampunk jewelry. And I love the name of this piece!

  • Rosamund says:

For years I’ve carried around my grand-mother’s watch. Hoping to come up with a solution as how to re-purpose. Your steampunk design is wonderful. Many thoughts are swimming in my head right now.
    Thank You Sonya!

  • Sonja Horzelenberg says:

Thanks, Rosamund. I have always been fascinated with watches and used to take them apart and reassemble them into funky brooches. Love their versatility!
All the best as you work with your grandmother’s watch. I would love to see the results!
