Theodora 3 Bracelet

I thought I was done with my Theodora Series, but ideas keep blasting through. The Theodora 3 Bracelet is inspired by my Aunt Teddy, and the times she lived so briefly in, from 1901 to 1919, when Art Nouveau design was all the rage.

Theodora 3 is done in wire sculpture and cold connection. I set the amethyst cab in a sterling silver wire harness, then sculpted and wove my signature “beaded ribbon” around the cold connection bindings to camouflage them. Then I added some curls and swirls, stitching them down with fine-gauge sterling.

Byzantine chainmaille made of square wire jumprings encircles the wrist. The bracelet clasps together with a handcrafted hook, embellished with an amethyst bead.
