That’s fantastic, Helen – you really know how to rock your jewelry booth! 🙂 And I so agree – being genuinely friendly is a major key to more sales.

They are not sterling earwires but are surgical steel. My last two shows, I sold over 120 prs. each show. Am still selling some expensive pieces and a lot of sterling earrings. I love doing the shows because I am a people person and have made so many friends. Your tips are always greatly appreciated.

Just curious.

Tried Rena’s tip about the jewelry bags with different items. I sold a couple of $10 bags. Maybe I didn’t put enough value in the bags. I have some older necklaces that I either need to tear apart or sell. Any tips on these?

Thanks for sharing this and encouraging all the responses with different versions of the concept. I have felt so guilty about my extra inventory just taking up coveted space. I plan to give this a try at my upcoming show in July.

Like most of you that have tried this, I have a bunch of inexpensive leftover beads and cheaper findings, and as I go to the same neighborhood market every Saturday, I have regular customers that come every weekend for their “earring fix”. If nothing else, folks stop and look and chat, and learn why my jewelry differs from the other many jewelry vendors at the market. There is truly something for everyone there! I usually take my bead stash and make earrings while I am standing there, which also adds to the “handcrafted” charm. People love to know and see that you make the items yourself.
