I am a wire wtap “artist” who loves to teach the craft.
Things you need :
Patience
Patience
Patience
I limit my classes to no more than 6 people .
You always have one that catches on quickly and one that needs alot of help.
I teach at a bead shop so we have an arrangment that she provides the classrom and tools and they buy their supplies from jher. It is a win win for both of us and the students don’t have to buy tools the may never use again.

I also teach a little, and always get a tickle when one of my students wants to learn so they can make gifts for friends, and “oh my goodness NO” they would never CHARGE anyone for making them something, and THEN – !!Surprise!! by the end of class – that Statement has LITERALLY gone OUT the door!! OMG, it is the most I can do to NOT remind them of what they said at the beginning ( I don’t have to , someone else in the class ALWAYS says something) and it is very educational anyone who WEARS Jewelry to see what it takes to make it right!
I always give my students a card for 10% off anything they buy when they come to one of my shows, or order through my EXCLUSIVE email list, and no one ( so far) has lost their card, and it is GREAT advertisement to have my students show up again at a show, as they will invariably comment on how much fun they had and that making REAL jewelry takes time and we need to charge MORE than the asking price. What a wonderful world we live in! Who would Ever have thought?

I was wondering if it would be possible for you to talk to my son about learning the craft of making jewelry for profit. He is extremely intelligent and creative but suffers from social anxiety and needs something to do to make him feel better about himself. Thank you.

I have samples of 10 different designs for bead weaving and they tell me which one they would like to learn. They have told others and now appreciate the time and effort it takes. I have enjoyed teaching and charge $10/ session and $5 for materials. I give written instructions with each lesson and have been able to use up extra stock as well.

I have two ladies who have been coming once a month and still want more. Lots of fun.
